Depending on the time of the day and who is asking, An Anatolian, Mesopotamian, Mediterranean, and of course, Ballstonian, İsa Seyran, was born in a tiny village in Anatolia and raised in the slums of İstanbul, studied political science and law at the very prestigious University of Ankara in Turkey and acting and directing at The Studio Theater Conservatory in Washington D.C; wrote short stories, poetry, essays, a novel and a memoir; translated poems from Spanish and Arabic; directed and produced a play first then a feature film, waited tables at Nation's Capital's most fabulous restaurants for 23 years and now serving gourmet teas and coffees, pastries and desserts in Ballston where he has been living since 2000.
